Dr. Garavito has been selected to receive the Barbara Pichardo Future Faculty Fellowship.  He joins the University of Arizona following three years of postdoctoral research at the Flatiron Institute, Center for Computational Astrophysics (CCA) where he was awarded the Flatiron Research Fellowship. Dr. Garavito graduated from the University of Arizona with his Ph.D. in Astronomy and Astrophysics in 2021 and has made significant contributions in the fields of galactic dynamics, computational methods, high-performance computing, N-body simulations, and software development.
