Graduating Student Spotlight: Hongji Wei, Recipient of the Overall Excellence in Undergraduate Research Award
Congratulations to Hongji Wei for receiving the Overall Excellence in Undergraduate Research Award! Hongji graduated this semester with a double major in Physics and Astronomy, and he reflects below on his time at University of Arizona.
Why did you choose your area of study?
I chose Physics and Astronomy because I am fascinated by how the world works.
Tell us about a class or research project you really enjoyed.
I enjoy doing research in general. I have done two theoretical projects on gravity. One of them went as expected and the other one gave me a surprise.
What is one specific memory from your time at UA that you'll cherish forever?
Biking up Mount Lemmon is a great memory for me. I really love the view.
What’s next?
I will continue studying theoretical physics in graduate school.
