Event Horizon Telescope

The EHT unites submillimeter telescopes across the world to achieve the highest angular resolution of any astronomical facility. The key scientific aim is to image the event horizon regions of the black hole at the center of our galaxy, Sgr A*, and at the center of the galaxy M87, thereby testing fundamental physics in the strong gravity limit.
