Saraswathi Subramanian
Postdoctoral Research Associate I
Saraswathi completed her PhD from the Indian Institute of Astrophysics in 2025. As a part of her thesis, she built instruments and techniques for studying the properties of the daytime turbulence at the observatory, developed simulations for quantifying the performance of solar telescopes and AO systems and designed the adaptive optics systems for the Kodaikanal Tower Telescope (KTT). She joined Steward Observatory in February 2025 where she is working with Dr. Ewan Douglas on instrumentation for high-contrast imaging.
Areas of interest: adaptive optics, high-resolution imaging, turbulence profiling
Degree(s)
- Ph.D., 2025, Indian Institute of Astrophysics
