Research Associate
PhD, 2021, Columbia University

Areas of Interest: CGM/IGM, UV/Optical instrumentation, IFU spectroscopy

Nicole joined Steward Observatory in January 2022 as a member of the Hamden UV Lab. Her research focuses on mapping the properties of the circumgalactic medium through ultra-low surface brightness spectral imaging. She is particularly interested in the development of Optical/UV instrumentation and is excited to be a part of the Aspera SmallSat Mission. She received her PhD from Columbia University, where she worked on the design and commissioning of the Circumgalactic H-alpha Spectrograph (CHaS), an optical IFU spectrograph for MDM Observatory on Kitt Peak.
