Jaegun Yoo brings 15 years of experience in the mechanical and space industries, as well as at a national space research institute, where he has worked on CubeSats, reconnaissance satellites, space optical telescopes, and payloads for the International Space Station (ISS). Specializing in spacecraft thermal engineering, he has expertise in all aspects of thermal control system development, including thermal analysis, design, manufacturing, assembly, and testing. He earned his Ph.D. in Astronomy and Space Science. His current research focuses on on-orbit thermal analysis and the thermally induced performance degradation of space optical telescopes. Before joining the Steward Observatory, he conducted research as a visiting scholar in the Optical Sciences Department.
