Griselda Arroyo-Chavez
Griselda joined Steward as a Postdoc in November 2024 after obtaining her PhD at the Institute of Radioastronomy and Astrophysics of the National Autonomous University of Mexico in October of the same year. She joined Doctor Shuo Kong's team to work on star formation and molecular clouds. Her main work focuses on the evolution, redistribution, and scaling of angular momentum at scales from giant molecular clouds to dense cores. This study is carried out by performing and analyzing SPH-type simulations. Recently she has started to work on the formation and properties of filaments in the interstellar medium, also including their angular momentum, and the 3D velocity and magnetic fields around and within filaments.”
Areas of interest: Interstellar medium, molecular clouds, star formation, numerical simulations, 3D data visualization
