Deepthi Sarvothama Prabhu

Postdoctoral Research Associate I

Deepthi joined Steward Observatory in September 2024 where she is working with Prof. David Sand. She completed her PhD in 2024 at the Indian Institute of Astrophysics, Bengaluru. During her graduate studies, she worked on understanding the properties and evolutionary status of hot stellar populations in Galactic globular clusters, mainly using ultraviolet observations from AstroSat/UVIT. Deepthi's current interests include studies of resolved stellar populations in nearby galaxies, with a focus on dwarf galaxies. She is also passionate about science outreach.

Areas of Interest: Galaxy Formation and Evolution, Dwarf Galaxies, Resolved Stellar Populations
